I’ll be honest, this is a very simple answer and it has been consistent in my heart for as long as I can remember. My husband and future children have forever been my why. Far before I was pregnant or married, my family has always had my heart and best intentions. I probably saved myself from a lot of trouble as a young lady by being such a forward thinker for my why. I would often think to myself…what would my future husband want me to do or how will this choice make me be a great role model for my kids someday? Well, we are so close to finding out! Point being, I have known my why in life for a very long time now.
Recently, I have been reading You are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero and she wrote about not only identifying your why, but getting very specific on what your ideal life would look like in regard to your why.
Let me give this a shot…
Starting off blunt here, but I want to be part of that $100K Club at Hustle & Flow in the future. This desire does not come from a place of greed by any means, rather a goal to strive for to create the best life, full off financial freedom and flexibility, for me and my why. And to make this even more specific, I’m going to reach this goal by my 33rd birthday on February 18, 2023 (because I already have a good feeling about this particular birthday celebration of mine…see, told you that I’m a forward thinker). Within six months after my 33rd birthday, I will buy a house and move back to Livermore with my why. This move alone will bring better education and athletic options into the picture for my future babies and it will also reduce the commute time for my husband, allowing us more time as a family. Plus, we will finally be closer to my parents and siblings. Between now and then, I will continue running my businesses out of our current home, full-time, all while taking advantage of the opportunity to raise our first child here as well, starting in just a few short months. Working time frames may shift from day to day, but I know that my drive to succeed will be even stronger when I look at our little babe’s smiling face. In addition to running both SharpShooter Photography and That Buzz Booth, I plan to assist my husband in growing his dream company as well. I truly envision such a bright future for us as a couple pursuing our passions to create the best family life and experiences for our future children. These experiences will surely include traveling. The adventure and beauty found in traveling is something that my husband and I can always agree on and enjoy together, so there is no doubt in my mind that our babies will be the same. Hopefully my why is up for Greece because that is where this soon-to-be mama plans to vacation by 2025.
Although I’m feeling a bit vulnerable after writing this, I believe that I needed to put this out into the universe.
With hard work, smart work, determination, heart, and very real goals now…it’s time to focus and do whatever it takes to level up for my why.
My why will forever have my every effort and unconditional love, until the end of time.
